Hi my name is Ed and I'm an addict... It all started when I followed an online link to a seedy website based somewhere in Canada where I got my first taste of spinning tops, although it was exciting I was rather disappointed and letdown the high was meant to last longer it even stated on the website "forever spin" but the buzz was a minute at most so I quickly needed more which lead me to hunt down the best spin which became obvious was Billetspin!! Now whenever I get word of an upcoming shipment from my dealer (Rich) I go into a tail spin hunting for $$ from loose coins in the sofa to almost getting caught breaking into my kids piggy banks. At least I can admit it - im addicted!

Like many of use last fall while watching YouTube videos on computers up pops a video of a top. A couple of videos later I found myself watching a Jim Skelton top Video. Well that was my introduction to real tops and BillitSpin. My first Billitspin Top was a Thrust SS/Dam/SS. It sat there un purchased for an hour. I thought “how much for a top?” Then I could not resist any long and bam I was now a member of the BillitSpin community. It did not take to long and I found BSS and PTS. Through one of my early purchases of a Loki I meet Daryl. Not only did he help me acquire an Omega (so much for the SS Thrust being expensive) but an enduring friendship was born. Many top and mucho money later my daughter came home for Xmas. Till the only my wife got to share my tops and she thinks I am waisting my money. She fell in love with them and I got to share my collection with her. I saved my Omega for last. It was the joy of sharing the beauty of these top with her that is my most memorable top story to share. Of coarse she not only went back to college with a couple of my tops and a spin base for she was now a new member of this wonderful word of top collecting. On a recent trip home she told me one of her friends at school dad was also a top collector and she got to spend time with him checking out his collection. The joy of sharing with my daughter is my top story to share.

Pocket tops got me into fidget spinners. And now I am a spinner maker.
Can't wait to get my hands on the evo which combines the best of both worlds.

I came across the Billetspin site. Not really sure how but I did.. Took me a bit to get my bearings, however once I was clear on certain ways to do things I started looking, watching and then one day actually ordered my first top. I got lucky one day and managed to win a top. I've bought a few others, and have to say I love it. The quality, the workmanship, and the designs are all so awesome. The names relate to the top or an aspect of the tops. The whole thing has captivated me. And then theres the family that exists within Billetspin. I actually feel those here are like family. No one belittling you. No one putting you down, especially when you ask a question about some thing you know nothing about. Not many places that have offered me the comfort and warmth I get from everyone here at Billetspin n its supporters.
Thank you one and all.

My first top was the Miracle. It's pretty beat up now and I spin it almost every single day. Don't have too many tops but love following along with what happens in the BilletSpin community. Lot's of good people here!

I stepped into the local german customs office the other day (to pick up a new top). A new officer served me. As he had the package in hands, his coworkers wanted to place a bet with him about what is in the package. (the other knew that it can only be a spinning top). He almost accepted.... and erverybody was laughing. This was a rare funny situation at the customs office.

These are all awesome stories and memories! I love hearing about how some of you came into the top world, how you are inspiring others to like tops, how your kids get so excited about regular “snail mail”, and how this community makes positive impacts in your lives. You all have no idea how much it touches my heart to know that there are still so many good people in the world who don’t have to get into petty arguments and can still come together for fun! Keep up the awesomeness! Sue

Wow it's so lovely to read the stories of others❤. A favorite memory? Gosh that's actually quite difficult, one that made me laugh so much was making a monkey vid for Lindsey's birthday. I stuck a candle to my mirror spin base and monkey sang happy birthday followed by on the count of 3 Lindsey would have to magically blow out the candle. I suppose you have to see it to know really. But I still smile thinking about it. The bloopers even brought tears to my eyes laughing so. ❤
