My favorite story is when i diceded it was a good idea to buy a plain ticket and fly from indiana to Florida to see Rich and Sue. This was the first time for me going anywhere far from home. It ended up being an absolutely amazing time seeing every one that attended the meetup. Also getting the amazing meetup top.

I leave my tops at work and only bring them home occasionally. One day I was home sick. My daughter brought me a Lego top. So the rest of the day off and on we spent building more Lego tops and figuring how to balance them.

Eversince I saw Jim Skelton's video with the Kraken as a thumbnail I was sold! Met a lot of awesome people, who made my day great when I was struggling with personal issues. I love to check in day after day to see what cool things people have been up to with tops/collections. When I got my first Billetspin (Trident) I literally could'nt believe what I felt and saw. The quality and craftsmanship was something I had never expirienced before in my life! Worth every obstacle I had to encounter to purchase it!
A big salute to everybody, you are a bunch of amazing people!!

As many know, the Spark was released with the goal of attracting folks to the top community who had limited or no familiarity with it, and was intended as a easy-to-spin top that would perform well. By the time of its public release, I had acquired about 55 tops that were all out on various spin trays and stages on a round table that made them all pretty easy to reach. Well, when my great-nephew and great-niece (ages 8 and 4 at the time) came for a visit, I showed them my "top table" and they quickly took a fascination with trying to spin them all, not surprisingly with some degree of difficulty. After some time of playing with the tops, I suddenly heard my great-nephew call out "Look Mom! I got this one to spin!", and it was the Spark. My getting into top collecting was directly the result of looking for some type of activity I could share with these two kids, now that I was closer to them after moving back to Tennessee from Texas. So, it was a happy result to see that not only were they learning how to spin my tops, but that they also happened to succeed first of all with the Spark, whose name was chosen from my suggestion in a naming contest. What my great-nephew didn't notice was that while he was first successful at top spinning with the Spark, his little sister was already spinning another Spark, just quietly so.

One of our funniest memories was running around for the December 2017 scavenger hunt! Trying to find a Santa to take a picture with was extremely hard. We ended up at a pet store with a funny looking Santa, everyone was giving us funny looks but we got our picture with Santa! ๐ Gotta love the BilletSpin shenanigans!

I usually dont meet other people in hawaii but one particular person reached out to me through fb and we started chatting about tops. Eventually, we met up for sushi and brought our collection for show and tell. I'm glad I met this person and proud to call him a brother "simon". We even went to Las Vegas for the gathering and he introduced me to alot of wonderful people.

A couple years ago, I entered a give away on a whim and ended up winning my first top! I was on a road trip at the time, and didn't even see it yet, and ended up buying another. A couple months later I got home and got to check out the awesomeness that is Billetspin and I've been hooked ever since. I've only met Rich once, but we've become great friends from afar. He's been an amazing source of advice, encouragement, and support, and I feel lucky to have found my way into this hobby!

I tend to spin my tops while lurking in the live streams of Rich. Something about it is very calming and pleasant. My personal fave has been Rich in his onsie, makes me laugh every time.

I got to meet rich in Atlanta at the first top con. I got him to autograph my pelican case. Was a lot of getting to chat and spin some tops. I think it was the first time he got to spin a lambda. Got to meet a bunch of other cool makers as well.
